Animal Control
The City of Springtown Animal Control Division is committed to promoting public safety, protecting animal welfare, and encouraging responsible pet ownership throughout our community.
Animal Control works to ensure that pets and residents can safely coexist by responding to animal-related concerns, enforcing city ordinances, investigating animal welfare issues, and helping reunite lost pets with their owners.

Services Provided
Animal Control assists residents with:
- Stray and loose animals
- Animal bite investigations
- Dangerous or aggressive animal complaints
- Animal welfare and neglect concerns
- Dead animal removal within city limits
- Lost and found pets
- Enforcement of local animal ordinances
- Rabies and vaccination compliance
- Public education regarding responsible pet ownership
Responsible Pet Ownership
Pet owners play an important role in maintaining a safe and healthy community. Residents are encouraged to:
- Keep pets properly confined on their property.
- Ensure dogs and cats receive current rabies vaccinations.
- Provide adequate food, water, shelter, and veterinary care.
- Use a leash when walking pets in public areas.
- Promptly clean up after pets in public spaces.
- Maintain current identification tags and microchip information.
Lost or Found a Pet?
If you have lost a pet or found a stray animal, please contact Animal Control as soon as possible. Quick reporting increases the chances of safely reuniting pets with their families.
When reporting a lost or found pet, please provide:
- A description of the animal
- Location where the animal was seen or found
- Date and time of sighting
- Photos, if available
Animal Welfare Concerns
The City takes reports of animal cruelty, neglect, and abandonment seriously. Residents who witness situations involving animals that may be in distress are encouraged to contact Animal Control with as much information as possible.
Wildlife
Animal Control may provide guidance regarding nuisance wildlife within city limits but does not trap wild animals or pests unless they appear to be risk and/or a risk to residents. Residents should avoid approaching wild animals and report any wildlife exhibiting unusual or aggressive behavior.
