Building Inspections

The City of Springtown is committed to ensuring that residential and commercial construction projects are completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with applicable building codes. To support this effort, the City contracts with Bureau Veritas, a third-party building inspection and plan review firm, to provide professional code review and inspection services.

While Bureau Veritas performs plan reviews and inspections on behalf of the City, all permit applications, permit-related correspondence, inspection requests, and project submittals must be submitted through the City of Springtown permitting staff at City Hall. City Hall serves as the primary point of contact for all permitting activities and coordinates directly with the City’s inspection provider throughout the review and inspection process.

Services Provided

Building inspection services include:

  • Reviewing permit applications for new construction, additions, remodels, and other regulated work.
  • Conducting plan reviews for compliance with adopted building codes.
  • Performing required inspections throughout the construction process.
  • Investigating complaints regarding unpermitted construction or code violations.
  • Providing information regarding permitting requirements, construction procedures, and code compliance.
  • Assisting property owners, contractors, and developers through the permitting and inspection process.

Our Mission

The goal of the Building Inspections program is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community by ensuring that residential homes, commercial buildings, and other structures constructed, altered, or maintained within the City of Springtown meet recognized standards for building safety and quality of life. Through professional plan review and construction inspections, the City promotes safe development and consistent enforcement of adopted building codes.
