Mission Statement

The police department accomplishes this by providing high-visibility patrols, a sincere response to each citizen request, establishing clear communication from the citizen to police service, acting upon the citizen need of police service, and maintaining a daily working relationship to minimize crime in our community thus preserving the quality of life for the citizens of Springtown.
Services
The Springtown Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency providing police services to residents, businesses, and visitors within the City of Springtown.

Patrol Division
The Patrol Division serves as the foundation of the Department’s operations and is responsible for responding to calls for service, conducting proactive patrols, enforcing traffic laws, investigating incidents, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the community.
Through high-visibility patrols and community engagement, officers work to deter criminal activity, improve traffic safety, and respond quickly to the needs of residents and businesses.
Criminal Investigations
The Department investigates a variety of criminal offenses occurring within the City and works closely with local, regional, state, and federal law enforcement agencies when appropriate. Investigators gather evidence, interview witnesses, follow leads, and work to identify and apprehend offenders while seeking justice for victims.
School Resource Officers
Through a cooperative agreement with Springtown Independent School District, Springtown Police Department School Resource Officers (SROs) provide law enforcement and security services at Springtown ISD campuses located within the corporate limits of the City of Springtown.
In addition to maintaining campus safety, School Resource Officers serve as mentors, educators, and community partners who help strengthen relationships between students, school staff, families, and law enforcement. SROs play an important role in promoting a safe learning environment and supporting student success.
Telecommunications & Dispatch Services
Unlike many smaller communities that rely on a county-wide communications center, the Springtown Police Department operates its own in-house dispatch services through its Telecommunications Division. Telecommunications personnel serve as the critical link between citizens, police officers, fire and emergency medical responders, and neighboring public safety agencies. Dispatchers are responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls for service, gathering and relaying vital information, coordinating responses to incidents, monitoring officer safety, entering and retrieving information from state and national law enforcement databases, and maintaining communications during emergencies. Operating twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, the Telecommunications Division plays an essential role in ensuring timely emergency response, effective coordination of public safety resources, and the delivery of professional service to the residents and visitors of Springtown.
