The City of Springtown provides residential and commercial solid waste collection services to help keep our community clean, safe, and attractive. Through the City’s contracted sanitation provider, customers receive reliable curbside waste collection services along with access to monthly bulk and brush collection opportunities.
The City is committed to providing cost-effective waste management services while encouraging responsible disposal practices that protect public health, the environment, and the quality of life enjoyed by our residents.
Residential & Commercial Trash Service
Residential & Commercial Trash Collection
The City of Springtown contracts with Frontier Waste Solutions to provide automated curbside solid waste collection services for residential customers and qualifying commercial cart customers. Collection is provided using City-authorized 95-gallon trash carts, which are designed for efficient and safe automated pickup.
Trash collection is provided once per week, with customers assigned either a Tuesday or Wednesday collection day based on their location within the city.

TRASH COLLECTION SERVICE DAYS
The City will be split up into two trash collection days – TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
NOTE: Residents on BOTH sides of Main Street will be serviced on Wednesday
To ensure timely service, customers should place their cart at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection day. Carts should be positioned approximately five feet from the curb, with the handle facing the house and the lid opening toward the street. To allow the automated collection equipment to operate safely, carts should be placed at least three feet away from vehicles, mailboxes, utility poles, fences, and other obstructions.
Only trash placed inside Frontier-provided carts will be collected as part of regular weekly service. Residents are encouraged to securely bag all household waste before placing it in the cart to help prevent litter, reduce odors, and minimize wind-blown debris throughout the community.
Prohibited Materials
The following materials may not be placed in trash carts:
- Chemicals
- Corrosive materials
- Flammable liquids or materials
- Explosive materials
- Biomedical waste
- Toxic substances
- Hazardous waste
- Any other materials prohibited by state or federal regulations
Disposal of Sharps
For the safety of sanitation workers, needles and other sharps used for medical purposes should never be placed loose in a trash cart. Sharps should be placed in a durable, puncture-resistant container, such as a commercial sharps container or a heavy plastic detergent bottle, before disposal.
Additional Trash Carts
Customers who need additional trash capacity may request an extra cart through City Hall. Additional service fees may apply based on the City’s adopted fee schedule.
To request an additional cart or for questions regarding collection service, contact City Hall at (817) 220-4834 or utilities@cityofspringtown.com.
Recycling Services
At this time, the City of Springtown does not provide municipal recycling collection services.
The City previously operated a recycling drop-off program; however, the program was discontinued due to persistent illegal dumping, contamination of recyclable materials, and escalating operational costs associated with cleaning and maintaining the collection area. Unfortunately, non-recyclable materials and unauthorized waste were frequently deposited at the site, making the program financially unsustainable and reducing the effectiveness of recycling efforts.
The City continues to evaluate opportunities for future recycling services should practical and cost-effective options become available.
Monthly Bulk & Brush Collection
To assist residents with the disposal of larger household items and yard debris, the City provides bulk and brush collection on the first Saturday of each month, free of charge for residential customers.
Please note: Collection dates may be adjusted when they coincide with major holidays.
Registration Required
Residents wishing to participate in the monthly bulk and brush collection program must contact City Hall no later than the Tuesday preceding the scheduled collection date to be placed on the pickup list.
Only addresses that have been registered in advance will be scheduled for collection.

Examples of acceptable bulk waste may include:

- Tree limbs
