Springtown’s Water Continues to Meet State and Federal Safety Standards
Clean, safe drinking water is one of the most important services your city provides, and we’re proud to share that Springtown’s 2025 Consumer Confidence Report shows our water system continues to meet or exceed state and federal drinking water standards.
Every day, the City of Springtown’s water team works to deliver high-quality drinking water to homes and businesses throughout our community. Through ongoing testing, monitoring, treatment, and infrastructure maintenance, we ensure residents can have confidence in the water that comes from their tap.
What the Report Shows
The annual Consumer Confidence Report summarizes water quality testing conducted throughout the year and provides transparency about the City’s drinking water system. Springtown’s water supply comes from a combination of groundwater wells and surface water sources, including Eagle Mountain Lake. A copy of the full report can be found here.
Highlights from this year’s report include:
Lead and Copper Levels Remained Well Below Action Levels
Testing showed no lead samples exceeded federal action levels, helping protect public health and safety.
Disinfection Byproducts Remained Within Regulatory Limits
All reported levels for regulated disinfection byproducts remained below maximum contaminant levels established by the EPA and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Water Treatment Processes Continue to Perform Effectively
Monitoring of turbidity, an important indicator of filtration effectiveness and water quality, demonstrated continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
Comprehensive Testing Conducted Throughout the Year
Springtown regularly tests for a wide range of contaminants, including bacteria, metals, nitrates, radiological substances, and other regulated compounds to ensure drinking water remains safe for residents.
Your Feedback Matters
Residents are encouraged to review the Consumer Confidence Report and share their comments, questions, or feedback with City Council. A public hearing is scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Annex Building at 200 N. Main Street.
Public participation is welcome, and residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the City’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable drinking water.
