FM 51 closure to begin Monday, Oct. 14

Work on FM 51 is scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 30 with utility improvements that will not require lane closures.

FM 51 will be closed beginning Monday, Oct. 14 from SH 199 to 2nd Street for the installation of underground drainage improvements. FM 51 through traffic will utilize the Pojo Road detour. The roadway will remain closed from Hwy. 199 to Optimist Road for the duration of the project. However, the portion of the roadway between Optimist Road and 2nd Street could reopen to local traffic in late 2020.
