Optimist Food Truck Park
Local Flavor. Local Fun.
The City of Springtown is excited to welcome the community to Optimist Food Truck Park, a new downtown destination located at Optimist Park. Opened in April 2026, the park brings food, family-friendly fun, and community activity to one of the first spaces visitors see when arriving in Springtown.
Optimist Food Truck Park operates each Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering residents and visitors a new way to enjoy local food vendors, outdoor seating, and the atmosphere of the Springtown Square.
Enhancing the Springtown Square
As a gateway into downtown, Optimist Park plays an important role in the look, feel, and activity of the Springtown Square. The food truck park activates an underutilized area while supporting local businesses, encouraging community gatherings, and adding new energy to the downtown district.
In addition to serving as a weekly dining destination, the park also provides added flexibility for downtown events and future parking needs.
Food Truck Fridays
Join us every Friday for Food Truck Fridays at Optimist Food Truck Park. The park is designed to feature local food vendors, picnic-style seating, and a welcoming outdoor space where families, friends, and visitors can gather.
Initial features include vendor spaces, picnic tables, decorative landscaping, lighting, signage, and use of the existing Optimist Park gazebo.
Family-Friendly Features
Optimist Food Truck Park was created with families in mind. A designated Kids Zone is planned as part of the park experience, with future improvements expected to include small entertainment features such as mini putt-putt, cornhole, playground elements, and other activities that can be updated over time to keep the space fresh and engaging.
Live Entertainment
The City plans to include live entertainment during select Food Truck Fridays. During the early phase of the park, the existing Optimist gazebo will be used for performances. As the park grows, the City will explore the addition of a small permanent stage and dance floor to support local musicians, school groups, dance teams, and community performers.
Future Plans
Optimist Food Truck Park is being developed through a phased approach. The first phase focuses on opening the park and making immediate improvements such as surface work, vendor areas, picnic tables, lighting, decorative landscaping, signage, and other aesthetic upgrades.
Future phases may include expanded parking improvements, shade features, electrical upgrades, restrooms, water and sewer connections, a permanent stage and dance floor, additional lighting, benches, lawn games, cornhole boards, children’s play features, and other amenities.
Future improvements will be pursued as funding becomes available and based on the success of the park’s operations, including attendance, vendor participation, and community interest. Vendor fees will be reinvested back into the park to help support future improvements.
