When information is released by them, we will attempt to add it here, but the school district should remain your primary source of information for questions related to the schools.---January 30, 2023 2 a.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area beginning at noon today and continuing through 6 a.m. February 1, 2023.Mixed precipitation, primarily in the form of freezing rain and/or sleet is expected. Total ice or sleet accumulations between one tenth and one half of an inch are possible.Significant impacts to travel may begin as early as Monday afternoon and continue through at least Tuesday night. Elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses will likely be the first to become icy, slick, and hazardous as temperatures hover around or below freezingIf you must travel, slow down and use extreme caution particularly when approaching bridges and overpasses.The City will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and update this post as a appropriate.

The City of Springtown will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM on August 25, 2022, at City of Springtown Municipal Annex Building, 200 North Main St. Springtown, Texas 76082, regarding the removal of street improvements in connection with the City’s Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) contract. The City requests to remove one thousand two hundred linear feet (1,200 l.f.) of street improvements utilizing four thousand three hundred ten square yards (4,310 s.y.) of reinforced concrete pavement, and two thousand two hundred linear feet (2,200 l.f.) of concrete curb. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to provide comments and discuss the citizen participation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of funding available, eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. Citizens are encouraged to participate in this TxCDBG contract and make their views known at this public hearing.  Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to Christina Derr at 102 East 2nd St. Springtown, Texas 76082, 817-220-4834. Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact the City Hall to arrange for assistance.
