Boil Water Notice rescinded
The Boil Water Notice which was issued Monday has been rescinded.
All lanes of Highway 199 were reopened by 10:30 p.m. July 15. One portion of the outside lane on the eastbound side of the highway remains blocked as Atmos Energy crews continue repairs to their gas line.
Water service has been restored, however the Boil Water Notice is still in effect for the area described below.
Due to a major gas leak and water main break, the ALL lanes of Highway 199 between Main Street and Roy Lane are closed. Old Springtown Road is also closed at Highway 199. Residents are advised to seek an alternate route and avoid the affected area.
In connection with the water main break, the City of Springtown has issued a boil water for customers located east of Old Springtown Road, west of Hilltop Drive, and south of Highway 199 to Bonnie Bell Lane — as depicted in the shaded area on the attached map.
It will remain in effect until further notice.
Repairs to restore gas and water service are expected to completed by 10 p.m. July 15.
