StormReady Springtown – Distribution of free NOAA Weather Radios

The City of Springtown is helping residents stay informed and prepared during severe weather events by providing FREE NOAA Weather Radios to local households through our StormReady Springtown initiative.
These radios (Midland WR120B models) provide critical alerts directly from the National Weather Service — even when cell service or power may be disrupted.
One radio per household (must be a resident of the City of Springtown)
Proof of Springtown residency required (Driver’s License/ID, utility bill, etc.)
Pickup Locations
Beginning Monday, March 2, residents may pick up radios at:
City Hall – 102 E. 2nd Street (during normal business hours 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday)
Or, residents may pick up radios at one of our distribution and demonstration events:
Demonstration & Operation Tutorial Events
- March 7 at 11:00 a.m.
- March 12 at 6:30 p.m.
- March 22 at 2:00 p.m.
- Each event will take place at the Municipal Annex Building, 200 N. Main Street.
Attend one of our upcoming demonstration events to learn how to properly program and operate your weather radio. Each session includes a live demonstration and step-by-step setup instructions to ensure your radio is ready when you need it most.

This project is funded through operating revenues included in the City’s FY 2025–2026 Budget, as approved by the City of Springtown City Council.
