Traffic Pattern Switch December 11, 2020

Beginning Friday, December 11, 2020, local traffic on FM 51 (Main Street) will be switched to the western lane. Traffic will continue to be restricted to northbound only between 2nd Street and Pojo Road.

While construction is underway on the eastern (current northbound lane), traffic will be able to cross FM 51 at 1st and 2nd Streets.

The cross streets of 3rd, 4th, and 5th Streets will be closed intermittently on an alternating basis as work is occurring at those specific intersections. (Example, when 4th Street is closed, 3rd and 5th Streets will remain open.)

Access to residences and businesses on the east side of Main Street will be maintained throughout this phase of the project as was provided for those on the west side of the roadway during the current phase of the project.)

The City, in coordination with TxDOT and the contractor Texas Sterling Construction, will provide updates on the closings of cross streets on its Facebook page, facebook.com/springtowntx and its website www.cityofspringtown.com.
