$1,000 reward offered for information in theft of park plaques

On August 1, 2020, it was discovered a bronze plaque was missing from the bathrooms near the Cartwright Pavilion in Springtown Park. The plaque states a dedication to the park. Subsequently, it was discovered there was a second missing plaque from the pavilion adjacent to the bathrooms. The second plaque states “Henry Cartwright Pavilion.” A photo of this plaque is attached. This area of the park is located directly north of Brookshire’s grocery store plaza. A third plaque was discovered missing on August 7, 2020, from the Springtown Tabernacle.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the theft of the plaques. Anyone with any information should contact the Springtown Police Department at (817) 220-0828.
