FM 51 Traffic Pattern Clarification

Northbound traffic does not have a protected left-turn signal, meaning northbound traffic attempting to turn left onto Pojo Road must yield the right-of-way to southbound drivers who also turning onto Pojo Road.

Since the beginning of the school year, the intersection has seen higher volumes of traffic, especially at peak drop-off and pickup times.

This has resulted in several near-miss situations where northbound drivers failed to yield the right-of-way when turning onto Pojo Road. Northbound drivers turning onto Pojo Road must yield the right-of-way to southbound drivers.

Drivers traveling northbound on FM 51 who need to access Pojo Road are encouraged to use Ninth Street to access Montgomery Street and cross to Pojo Road at the intersection.
