City of Springtown Recreational Needs Survey Spring 2024

  • February 26, 2024

As parks and other recreation facilities remain one of the top quality-of-life services offered by municipalities to their residents, input from stakeholders for future improvements to the City’s park system is a vital component to ensure that the facilities meet the current and future needs and desires of those who use them the most. In an effort to give adequate consideration to the needs and desires of stakeholders for future park improvements, the City of Springtown has commissioned this Recreational Needs Survey.

The City of Springtown is currently evaluating improvements to its downtown-area parks and intends to use responses to evaluate and scope future park improvements in the downtown area. Please complete the following survey and return to City Hall by March 31, 2024. For those who prefer to complete the survey digitally, please visit www.cityofspringtown.com. This survey is open to all residents of the community which comprises the Springtown 76082 zip code as the City recognizes that its parks system is utilized by residents both inside and outside the city limits of Springtown.

Participation in this survey, whether by paper hard copy or digitally, will remain anonymous. Demographic-related questions contained in the survey are for the purpose of statistical analysis only and are not meant, nor will they be used, to identify anyone who chooses to participate in the survey. We respectfully request that each participant complete only one (1) submission; this will allow all stakeholders to have their preferences equally heard and ensure that the results of the survey accurately reflect the desires of the community.

The results of this survey will be presented to the City Council during a Public Hearing to be held April 25, 2024 at 7 p.m. This Public Hearing will take place in the City Council Chambers at the City of Springtown Municipal Annex Building, 200 N. Main Street, Springtown, Texas 76082. The Public Hearing will be an additional opportunity for the City Council to receive input from the public as it relates to the park-planning process.

While the results of the survey will not be the sole determining factor in future park-related decisions for improvements and other planning activities, they, along with the currently adopted Park Master Plan, estimated construction and maintenance costs of proposed features, and available resources will play a significant role as the City Council works to identify the most efficient and beneficial use of local and potential grant funding.
